О компании / RDST production ltd The new project launched by the Russian Drama Studio Theater differs from other attempts at shooting theater productions. The novelty of the project lies in the fact that it organically combines the actors’ play with the associative imagery which is created by artists-animators thus generating the screened virtual theater. Each new theater production will result in a “virtual theater” in its own right depending on the interpretation of a certain theater director and actors’ performing. Thus the real theater of our times acquires a new right to exist as screened versions thanks to the expressive means of cinema, TV, animation and computer graphics. We intend to present an audio-visual series of theater productions based on works by Russian and foreign playwrights: one-man shows and monologues performed by the best actors as a new format of theater and screen arts. “Russian Drama” virtual theater will preserve theater productions and help the viewer to perceive the live theater through the screen. The project is being in the stage of the development.
